Tax for Traders & Finance Professionals in Switzerland

Private Info Session - 15.05.2026 at ZTF, 14:00H

A practical session for traders who want greater clarity around tax, structure, and the professional framework of their activity.

As part of the launch of THE ZUG TRADING FLOOR, we are hosting a first Private Info Session for traders who want to better understand the Swiss tax and structuring questions that often arise once trading becomes more active, more profitable, or more professionally organised.

This session is designed to provide a focused introduction to the practical issues traders commonly face when their activity becomes more serious — whether they trade personally, operate through a company, or are considering a more professional setup.

    Who this session is for

    This session is intended for:

    • self-directed traders with growing or recurring trading income
    • active traders who want greater clarity on Swiss tax treatment
    • traders who are asking whether their activity should continue to be carried out personally or through a company
    • traders who are considering a more professional structure around their activity
    • trading companies and traders who want a clearer framework around tax, accounting, and domicile in Zug

This is not a trading course and it is not investment advice. It is a practical information session focused on the Swiss tax and structuring questions that serious traders often face.

    What the session will cover

The session will address questions such as:

    • how trading income may need to be treated and declared in Switzerland
    • when an activity may begin to raise professional-trader questions under Swiss tax practice
    • what should be considered when trading is carried out through a company
    • which accounting, reporting, and documentation points become relevant once trading becomes more serious
    • what traders should keep in mind when thinking about company structure, domicile in Zug, and related fiduciary matters

The objective is to give participants a clearer understanding of the issues that matter and the areas that may require closer professional attention.

Why this session may be relevant

Many traders reach a point where the technical side of trading is no longer the only issue. As the activity grows, practical questions around tax, structure, documentation, and company setup often become more important.

This session is designed to help traders understand that landscape more clearly and to offer a first professional orientation around the Swiss framework.

For those interested in a more structured approach to their trading activity, the session also reflects the wider ZTF concept: a more focused environment to trade, together with selected support around the business side of trading where relevant.
